Privacy Policy

IC Checker is a reference website. It has no accounts, no logins and no shopping cart, so there is very little for it to know about you.
What we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number or postal address — unless you email us.
- No account, because there are no accounts.
- No payment details, because nothing is for sale.
- No location beyond the coarse country that analytics infers from your IP address.
IC lookups
When you search a part number, the code you type is sent to our catalogue service at
https://api.mobileicchecker.com so it can be looked up. The request carries the search term, your
IP address and your browser's user-agent string, as any web request does. These are used
to return the result, to keep aggregate counts of which codes are searched most, and to
spot abuse. Search terms are part numbers, not personal information.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are used and roughly where visitors come from. It sets cookies and records page views, approximate location at country level, device type and referrer. It does not tell us who you are. You can block it with any content blocker or by enabling "Do Not Track"; the site works exactly the same either way.
Google's handling of that data is covered by Google's privacy policy.
Local storage
The site does not store your searches on your device. Nothing is kept in
localStorage beyond what your browser does on its own.
If you email us about a missing or incorrect code, we keep that message so we can act on it and reply. We do not add you to any mailing list and we do not pass your address on.
Children
This is a technical reference for the phone repair trade. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. Email usamaj2106@gmail.com and we will deal with it. Given how little is collected, the answer is usually "an analytics record and nothing else".
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be noted on this page.
